This is a place for me to share my poetry :] From a very young age I have always been attracted to it as an artform for it's emotional vulnerability. Many artistic mediums enjoy standard varying levels of percieved separation between the creator's emotions and the witness, while poetry almost necessarily seems to thin out this barrier. I think this is why poetry is so easily seen as pretentious or cringe if you don't click with the author, it has the power to carry really vulnerable and raw emotion in a special and direct way.
